“I CREATE MOMENTS OF PEACE AND BEAUTY IN COLORS, A KIND OF FANTASY, LIKE DRAWING SENTENCES. MY PAINTINGS ARE COLORFUL AND EXPRESS A BEAUTIFUL AND HAPPY WORLD.”
In an era of excessive media, television and internet in every home, I have no wish to make critical, blunt statements. I prefer make my own personal revolution out off canvas – in social activities especially, for women rights and gender. There is a separation between my life’s activities and my art in which I create special moments.
I love creating these moments, painting with many colors and letting light into my work. Painting verdant and magical landscapes which remind me of my childhood in the Kibbutz and the quite urban suburbs surrounded by fields and orange groves, in which I grew.
In my world, silence is also a kind of event, something happens in it. In a period where it is possible to use many techniques – to combine digital photography and various technologies, print on canvas – in times where totalistic reality absolute is expressed in many ways, I prefer to just give a hint such as: the form of a person, animal or house, in order to convey the presence of figures in the painting, it’s enough for me and I don’t mind if some may see my pictures as naïve art.
When I’m asked ‘What does this painting mean?’, ‘What story is behind it’? I say, ’what you see -is that exists’. All it is in the eye of the beholder and in your experience of the painting, a story is hold.
When people buy one of my pictures and hang it in their home, they are hanging my ‘moments’ on their wall.
I have painted all my life, and will keep on painting. Painting is my soul. Now I have a great wish to see and be seen. To share with the world what I do and to expose myself through my moments of color.
